DIY Baby Doll Cloth Diapers

DIY Baby Doll Diapers

Putting them together was also pretty simple. If you’re a beginner, then you really shouldn’t have any problems piecing them together, sewing them up and letting your little take them on a cruise drive with their dolls.

You can choose just about any color/pattern combo you can think of, since the fabric stores out there are pretty full of different choices.

What You Need:

Fat Quarters – 2 Patterns/Colors of Choice

Sewable Velcro

Paper, Scissors, Pen

First, you’ll want to create your own pattern for this. This is because you could always find one online, but it might not be the right size.

It is best to put your kid’s doll to work for the best size needed.

Lay your doll down and then draw a diaper pattern around it. I am not the best artist, but I was able to shape together a piece that looks like a diaper by folding the paper up and over the doll like it was the diaper.

I then cut out the pattern to use for the fabric.

Use the cut out pattern on two pieces of your fabric. You can trace these pieces on using your fabric marker or just pin the pattern and cut around it – it is ultimately your choice.

I like to use a fabric marker for this since I get more even cuts around the patterns.

There is no need to flip the pieces inside out to sew around them. You can just sew right together with the right sides facing out.

Make sure to give yourself a little room to go around the edges with scissors to even them out and clean them up a bit.

From there, you will then want to add the velcro once the sides are nice and neat. You can sew each little piece on the edge straps.

Then bring them into the diaper front and place your velcro at these areas.

Once that is done, you can cut off the excess strings hanging down and voila! You’ve made your own baby doll diapers!

Just repeat as many times as you’d like, with as many different pattern and color combos that you can think of!

Just place your doll right inside them and stick the ends on and they should fit without a problem. They can also be made bigger or smaller, depending on the size of the dolls that your little one has.
